Held By Red Rocks

$170.00

Some places don’t just hold beauty. They hold beginnings.

This painting was born from a quiet stop in Sedona during our honeymoon — a road trip that stretched from Indiana to the Pacific and back again. We weren’t rushing. We were simply following the road and the feeling that our life was unfolding with every mile.

Not long before this moment, we had stood outside the Chapel of the Holy Cross, tucked into the red rock as if it had always belonged there. There was a stillness. A sense of being held. Of standing at the threshold of something sacred and new.

Then we found this view.

The red rock stood strong and steady, shaped by time but untouched by hurry. The desert air was warm, the sky wide and open, and I remember thinking how love feels like this — grounding and expansive all at once.

When I paint pieces for my My Mountain Heart series, I’m not just painting a landscape. I’m painting the places that changed me. The places that remind me who I am, what I value, and how deeply life can be felt when we allow ourselves to be present.

This piece is for the collector who understands that a painting isn’t just something you see.

It’s something you carry.

It’s a reminder of your own beginnings. Your own promises. Your own mountains.
