My Mountain Heart was inspired by a photograph I took with my husband on a road trip in the Grand Tetons. I can still smell the pine trees and feel the cool mountain air when I think about standing there. The mountains were towering, humbling, and impossibly alive — the kind of beauty that makes you quiet without trying.
This painting is my love letter to that moment.
The winding path, the wildflowers, the evergreens reaching tall toward the sky — they all carry that feeling of awe and gratitude I felt standing in the wonder of God’s creation. The mountains have a way of whispering, “Come back.”
